Reflection #8

Finally the progress test 1 will come to the end. However, we cannot take a rest because we will immediately have lottery for final test. Fyuuhh! Bless me everybody, so I will get the lucky number! ;D

Reflection #7

Whoaaaaa!! Finally the time has come! I had to teach in front as the test 1. In my opinion, the lesson was successful because I did not feel too nervous, of course I felt it, but I tried to overcome as good as I can. In the beginning, I tried to give a warm-up activity by telling a story and asked them to answer the question based on the story. I thought that can be an effective way to get the students’ attention so hopefully they were interested in learning. However, as a person who still in progress, the weaknesses of the lesson at that time was the material. The observers said that I have to prepare more listening materials because I taught listening skills. Honestly, it’s kinda difficult to find listening material about procedure topic and my mistake was “why didn’t I record my voice to add listening materials?” :p soooo, next time If I get the chance to teach listening skill again, I will record my voice.hahha

reflection #6..

this week we had six friends who did their teaching test. they did very very well. I wish I could do as great as they did or even better ^^ I learned many things from their performances.
the first is about time management. we should really aware about the time management. even though we had already prepare the material, the exercises or whatever it called, but if we don't think about the time management. everything that we have prepared, will loose! hahaha.
the second is about expecting. if we had prepared the material well and also have enough understanding about time management, we have to expect about the situation that will happen in the class. we never know about the students' feeling and their answer when we give them a question. thus, in my opinion we have to think about it first before we teach, so we could know what we have do then :D
and the third is about relaxness.  although we are nervous, we're not allowed to show it to the class. because if we are nervous, it will affect our performance and the we will loose our 'image' in front of the students.
I really hope that I can practice those three things above! :p

that was for mural competition at JEC last friday. unfortunately, she hasn't win yet because the assessment depends on polling by SMS. *yeah, hate that fact indeed*

reflection #5..

this week we had "lottery-time" to know when will we teach the class for the first progress test. and...taraaaa! I got the lucky number 19. hahahha.I dunno whether it's lucky or not. I felt quite relieve because at least I'm not the first, or the second, or the third. I will have many friends before me so I can grasp the positive things from their perform later on. however, I feel scared too because number 19 is very very very loooong. when most of my friends have already relieve because they had done the test, I still have to nervous. T_T
I hope I can do the best. I had already enough provision to face it. oh ya, I also hope all of my friend can do the best as well.

reflection #4..

Gilang and Siwi were chosen by the universe to did class teaching at that time. :) I think, everybody agreed that we prefer to see other friends' performance rather than do the performance itself. and it also happen to me. honestly, I prefer to watch them because I also could learn something from their performance.like what I had on yesterday, I learned that we shouldn't being nervous when we want to start our perform, it can be very harmful and distract aaaaaaaallll the things. on the other hand, we have to feel relax first, try to create a comfortable situation for ourselves and the class as well. and then we have to make sure that we had already mastered the material.that's the most important! :p
I know that saying the theory is easier than doing in practice. but still I believe that we can do that. I believe that we can do that. Someday, we could be a great teacher. :))
